Charging the PAL from a USB Power Source:

Re-charging time of the PAL from a USB power source is
between 2.5 to5.0 hours depending upon the power source used.

The PAL has Over-Charging Protection when re-charging the
PALfrom a USB source. You can leave the PAL plugged in
without worry.

Using the PAL to charge another USB mobile device:

Over-Discharging Protection of the PAL when charging
another USBdevice, such as a mobile phone. Prevents the
PAL from discharging to completely empty, which can
damage or shorten the life of the internal Li-Ion battery.

Over-Current Protection when charging another USB device,
providing protection in case of a short circuit.
